Employees are paid on Wednesday of each week, and direct deposit is available.
RETIREMENT BENEFITS
Tradewinds Transportation offers a 401K plan to all company employees after one year of employment.
MEDICAL INSURANCE BENEFITS
Medical insurance through Health Net is provided to the employee only at 50% of the cost of the premium after 90 days of employment. Family members can be added at the employee's expense. Supplemental plans for optical, dental, and AFLAC are also offered at the employee's expense.
DRIVER PAY
Drivers are paid $.32 per mile and $10 each for additional picks and drops, or hourly pay when applicable.
At the end of each month, all drivers with over 11,000 miles for that month will receive an additional $.02 per mile to be paid on the Wednesday closest to the 15th of the following month. Drivers leaving the company before the day incentive is paid forfeit any unpaid incentive.
CELL PHONE ALLOWANCE
Drivers must provide their own cell phone when accepting employment and will receive a $50 monthly allowance paid on the first paycheck of each month.
TRIP PAK
Trip Pak is used for sending in trip sheets and bills of lading paperwork. Trip Pak can be sent to the office from most truck stops at no cost to the driver.
EFS FUEL CARDS
Tradewinds uses EFS fuel cards, which are accepted at all major truck stops. Fuel pricing is tracked daily for best price. EFS fuel cards can also be used for scales and oil, and a maximum $75 per week cash advance plus transaction fee is also available.
